Churches Working Together Sharing Jesus

Ladies Ministry

October 2021 Update:  Changes are coming to our Associational WMU Meetings!
WMU has been, and is still, a vital part of Missions in our churches, our state and around the world.  Several of our churches have very active WMU groups.  But over the years, many churches have branched out into various other types of Ladies Groups.  Many churches now have Ladies Circles, Ladies Small Groups, Ladies Quilting Groups, etc. Some churches will have a WMU Group, as well as, other types of Ladies Groups.  All of these groups have common goals.  They exist to serve in God's Kingdom, to do missions within their communities and around the world, and to be a support and encouragement to other ladies.

To be inclusive of all the types of Ladies Ministry Groups in our Association, we are making some adjustments to the Associational WMU Meetings.  First of all, the name of our meetings will simply be "Ladies Ministry Meetings".  This does not take away anything from WMU...WMU is also vital to the Ladies Ministry of the Association.  But we hope to bring even more ladies together in worship and ministry, beyond WMU Groups only.

So whether your church has a WMU Group or another type of Ladies Ministry...whether your group consists of young ladies or senior ladies, or anyone in between...our Associational Ladies Meetings are for YOU!

For churches who do not have an "official" Ladies Ministry...you are not left out.  Anyone can attend our Ladies Meetings.  We want all ladies to feel welcomed, involved and discover ways to serve.

Over the weeks and months to come, we will be sharing more information on Associational Ladies Ministry.  We hope you will be part of it!

Ladies Ministry Meeting
Monday, November 1, 2021, 7:00 pm
Westside Baptist Church, Madisonville
Guest Speaker:  Andrew Wood, Executive Director/Hope Resource Center

Hope Resource Center exists to serve women and men in the Knoxville community who are facing an unplanned pregnancy or other reproductive health concern. Through targeted marketing, free services and outreach, we aim to bring those who are hurt, broken and scared to our doors. Once they’re here, we strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to reflect Christ in all that we do.

November Ministry Project
Everyone is asked to bring a "baby shower" gift to the Ladies Ministry Meeting to benefit the Hope Resource Center.  Any gift is welcomed and appreciated, but their specific current specific needs are:
